The initiative of Vilnius municipality “SU-MENĖK” offers you to get out of the house every weekend in February and immerse yourself in a journey of contemporary art in the capital by free public transport. This year, this initiative is greeted with the slogan “So much art that something will really stick”.

Gallery (AV17) during SU-MENĖK invited you to visit the “Bit Value” exhibition of contemporary art creator Vygandas Šimbelis (Das Vegas) who works in Lithuania and Sweden. Using numerical abstraction as the main approach to reveal the relationship between human and machinery, the author considers the information tools of the modern world: from the smallest unit of information to a number. From monetary value to the expression of the price of artwork. Numbers and digital dimension connect the works presented in the exhibition, which raise fundamental questions about the value of art, the digital ownership of works, the economy of art, meanings in visuality, or meanings coded in numbers.

Gallery opening hours in February:
II, III, IV 12:00–19:00
V, VI 12:00–19:00
VII 12:00–16:00
